Relationships and Sexual Health
Brook is the UK's largest young people's sexual health charity. For 50 years, they have been providing sexual health services, support and advice to young people under the age of 25. Their website offers comprehensive information, links and support around all aspects of relationships, sexual health, body science and development.
Bish Training offers training, teaching and resources around all aspects of relationships and sex education with a focus on young people aged 14+. There are numerous downloadable resources and innovative suggestions for teaching activities on the website.
FPA offers training and resources around all aspects of relationships and sex education with some particular focus on primary age learning and support for people with learning disabilities. FPA leaflets and other resources are widely recognised as effective, high quality tools to support teaching, training and family-based learning.
Young Minds is the UK’s leading charity committed to improving the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Their website has areas for children & young people, for parents and carers and for professionals. They also offer training and resources which can be accessed through their website.
Time to Change is a national campaign to challenge the stigma of mental ill health and the website has an area focused on the needs of young people. It is an interactive site with free downloads of teaching resources, support for parents and professionals and opportunities for young people to share their stories and get support and guidance.
The Children and Young People's Mental Health Coalition are a group of 14 charities working together to lobby for improvements in service provision and awareness for children and young people's mental well-being. The resources area of the website, in particualr, offers reports and guidance on a wide range of mental health issues.
Alcohol & Other Drugs
Talk to Frank has been a 'go to' site for information about alcohol and other drugs since it was established in 2003. It is an interactive site, it is young person focused and is up-to-date with drug news and changes about the law.
Health Talk have an area devoted to young people's stories of drug and alcohol use with a lot of short, filmed interviews with young people talking about their own issues and experiences.
Linnell Publications offer a range of highly engaging leaflets, comics and posters aimed largely at people who are already experiementing or using alcohol or other substances. They are factual, forthright and visually appealing.
